OUR SUSTAINABILITY WORK
Sustainability is important to us at CW Lundberg.
Many planetary boundaries have already been blown up. With current resource use, four globes would be needed. We are concerned about the rapid increase in the Earth's average temperature, where we are seeing effects in our local area. Vasaloppet's snow supply becomes more and more challenging every year. We do not think this is reasonable. This is why we want to act for the climate, and why we want to continue working at CWL for at least another 30 years.
We support the global, European and national environmental objectives, and have long-term sustainability goals in line with them.
By 2030, our goals are to
→ Halve our CO2
emissions (base year 2023)
→ Have at least 1 circular business model
→ Have at least 35% of under-represented groups in all roles
By 2045, we will be climate-neutral and fully circular.
Here is what we have done so far to increase the sustainability of ouroperations
- 2011
- 2023
- 2024
Here is what we are doing now to increase the sustainability of our operations
→ Evaluates the quality and carbon footprint of raw materials and packaging. We are exploring alternative materials with a lower carbon footprint.
→ Prepares Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for our roof safety, photovoltaic attachment and cable system products. By providing transparent information on the environmental impact of our products, we aim to promote sustainability and help our customers make informed decisions.
→ Define a sustainability strategy for sustainable and profitable growth.
→ Mapping climate impact scope 1, 2 and 3
→ Engage in supply chain dialogue to jointly identify opportunities for improvement and implement sustainable practices and solutions.
→ Planning for measures to reduce energy consumption both in our production processes and in our buildings.
→ We are expanding our supplier assessment to examine how our suppliers' sustainability and quality work matches our own. We want to work with our suppliers to drive change and maintain high standards in environmental protection, working conditions and product quality.
→ Separating more waste fractions to increase our recycling rate and reduce the amount of waste going to landfill.
